Selina was born in Chester but moved down to Essex at the age of four. Selina commenced her career in the private sector and hence she is a believer in excellence when it comes to service delivery.
Selina was elected as a Councillor in Larkswood, London Borough of Waltham Forest in 2018, with 2027 votes
Selina also holds the following positions:

- Fifth on the GLA Londonwide List (2019)
- CWO Chairman for Lea Valley Region (2018)
- DC Membership and Fundraising for CWGCA (2019)
- Social Media Officer for Chingford and Woodford Green having launched a successful social media campaign for Iain Duncan Smith MP (2018)
- Chairman for Endlebury Ward (2018-2020)
An outgoing character with over 10 years public sector experience, Selina has worked at a number of London Authorities and the Greater London Authority (GLA) where Selina ran and implemented the internal business infrastructure for the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC).
Selina published London’s first Parking & Enforcement Plan and implemented the Traffic Management Act 2004 at the London Borough of Hackney, so is familiar with all things parking and highways related. She also tendered the country’s first contract, which removed performance-related pay from parking attendants. In 2014 Selina returned to Hackney where she wrote London’s first local authority strategy for revival of Street Markets.
Selina successfully managed a budget of over £80 million at the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, and later went onto to become one of the first bi-borough managers when the Authority merged with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. She also designed a new street sign which was shortlisted for an award in innovation but alas it lost out to the Heathrow Pod!
At the London Borough of Havering Selina implement the first PSPO (Public Space Protection Order) around schools to tackle dangerous driving and parking.
